Don't hit the wall in your sport!
An athlete's sports
performance and training routines are often the key to
the differences between those individuals who are just competitive in
their sport and the athletes that continuously set the standards for
competition. The same sports performance and training
concepts are also employed in successful athletic and health based conditions
for non-competitive or rehabilitating
Let OSPT help you break through that wall!
While strength training is an essential part of most strength and conditioning programs, there are many other factors that determine whether an individual just becomes a stronger athlete, or if that athlete actually becomes a stronger, more successful competitor. To accomplish the more successful approach, a combination of general, cross-training and sport specific performance and training techniques are employed during the strength and conditioning development phases.
These sports performance and training techniques are also coupled with other key concepts: proper nutrition, safe and effective warm-up and cool-down routines, correct adherence to forms, and time efficient strategies (or periodization). This overall approach will produce a more powerful athletic competitor that is better conditioned and more capable in the specified sport, or develop someone who is better equipped to meet specific health or performance and training goals.
